Solar power is a renewable energy source that harnesses the energy from the sun’s rays and converts it into electricity.

Solar panels consist of photovoltaic cells, typically made from silicon, that react to sunlight by generating a flow of electrons. Unless you have specifically installed a back-up power system with batteries, your system will not operate in a blackout. This is to protect any electricians that are working on the lines outside your house.
